Penarth to Weston-Super-Mare Route £900

This route starts on Penarth sea front and finishes at Weston Super-Mare slipway.

This is the shortest swim that we have on offer at 8 miles in a straight line. 

Whilst this is the shortest option, it is a complex route due to the strong tides that the Bristol Channel presents and the sand banks. 

The first person to swim across the Bristol Channel was Kathleen Thomas, at just 21 years old swam from Penarth to Weston-Super-Mare on the 5th Sept 1927. The swim which was normally 11 miles took 7 hours 20min and turned out to be 22miles due to the tidal flow.
